Rubin, Esq. has been admitted to the Bar of the State of New York since 1991, and is further admitted to practice before the Federal Courts in the Eastern District of New York. She is a member of the American Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, the Nassau County Bar Association, the Suffolk County Bar Association, the New York State Women’s Bar Association and is a Barrister with the New York Family Law American Inn of Court which organization focuses on the importance of legal ethics.
She was a participant in the Early Neutral Evaluation program for matrimonial cases in the Nassau County Supreme Court, and is currently a participating mediator in a recently created program involving matrimonial cases in Nassau Country Supreme Court.
Since her admission to New York State Bar, she has concentrated in the field of matrimonial and family law, having worked for the Family Court Bureau of the Nassau County Legal Aid Society for 5 years upon her graduation from Hofstra University School of Law and having worked for the Law Offices of Kenneth Koopersmith, LLC and its predecessor firm for 9 years, handling complex and highly sophisticated matrimonial matters, prior to becoming a member of the firm of Kramer & Rubin, LLC in March of 2004, and thereafter, the firm of Rubin & Rosenblum PLLC.
In addition to litigating and handling appeals in each of these areas, she also acts as a mediator and a collaborative lawyer (depending on the needs and the circumstances of your case). Debra is a member of the New York Association or Collaborative Professionals and has been formally trained in mediation and collaborative law.
Ms. Rubin was honored with a listing in The Ten Leaders of Matrimonial & Divorce Law in Long Island. She has further been selected to New York Super Lawyers every year since 2011.
